Innovative wireless mesh network routing technology now available
throughout Asia Pacific region

Milpitas, California – April 22, 2009 – Azalea Networks, a leading innovator in wireless network equipment and technology, today announced an agreement with Security Merchants to distribute its products throughout New Zealand and Australia. Security Merchants is the first company in the region to offer Azalea’s patented “intelligent” routing technology that delivers on the promise of wireless voice, video, and data with superior performance and lowest cost of ownership.

Security Merchants is a leading distributor of electronic security equipment and support to trade installers in the Asia Pacific region, specializing in intruder alarms, keyless access control, closed circuit television systems, intercoms, locking solutions, video analytics and wireless equipment. “Security Merchants is excited to offer the world’s only Layer-3 wireless mesh routing technology as part of our solution, particularly Azalea’s video surveillance capabilities that provide jitter-free, reliable video wirelessly even over multiple hops,” said Alan Willett, managing director of Security Merchants.

Azalea’s technology is unlike any other in the marketplace, providing municipalities, public safety applications, oil and gas operations, shipping ports, distribution centers, and business and education campuses with the benefits of turnkey wireless solutions. Azalea’s technology offers the ability to expand, grow or modify a network as needs change. The “intelligent” characteristics of Azalea’s network routing technology lie in its ability to deliver peer-to-peer routing across the entire network while enabling network management from the host to the client. Azalea’s solution also enhances its wireless network’s integration with other wireless and wired networks, including the Internet, enterprise networks, or service provider infrastructure, adding flexibility for the wireless network operator.

Rake Jiang, Azalea vice president and general manager, International Markets and Global Strategic Alliances, commented, “We are pleased to have partners as experienced as Security Merchants representing our solution in New Zealand and Australia. Our Layer-3 approach truly provides Security Merchants with a wireless mesh solution that is superior and more cost effective than any other wireless technology.“
